Terms of Service & Subscription Guidelines

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or subscribing to «Mehzem», or by browsing its official website, you expressly acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, all applicable laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Apple Inc. licensing guidelines.

Mehzem is designed and developed to empower university students by organizing timetables, tasks, assignments, and academic tracking. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please discontinue using the application.

2. Academic License & Permitted Use

You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use Mehzem solely for individual academic productivity purposes.

Prohibited Exploitation: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sub-license, or commercially exploit any software component or visual asset of Mehzem without prior written authorization.
Code Protection & Integrity: Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, extracting source code, or attempting to bypass subscription receipts, licensing mechanisms, or Apple StoreKit verification is strictly prohibited.

3. Calculation Accuracy, GPA Scales & Absence Radar

Mehzem computes semester and cumulative GPA, attendance ratios, and absence counts based on user-entered academic data according to recognized collegiate standards:

Saudi Academic Scale (5.0 GPA): Standard in Saudi universities including Prince Musaid bin Abdulrahman University, King Saud University, and other public higher education institutions.
Global Academic Scale (4.0 GPA): Standard for colleges and programs operating on a 4.0 weighted system.
Absence Radar & Tardiness Bylaws: Incorporates customary academic rules (such as 2 tardies equating to 1 absence) to alert students before reaching institutional debarment thresholds.

Academic Advisory & Disclaimer: All calculations, projections, and debarment radar alerts within Mehzem are advisory guidance tools intended to assist student planning. The official records maintained by your university's deanship of admissions and registration and student portal remain the authoritative and final reference for your grades, credit hours, and enrollment standing.

4. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases via Apple StoreKit

Subscriptions to the «Mehzem Plus» tier are processed securely through Apple StoreKit and governed by Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions:

Free Trial Period	1 full month free (30 days) from the start of your subscription, with zero immediate billing.
Subscription Price after Trial	6.99 SAR / month (or local currency equivalent, including applicable taxes).
Auto-Renewal Mechanism	Renews automatically each month unless auto-renew is cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
Cancellation Procedure	You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time directly through your Apple ID account settings (iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).
Refund Policy	All payment processing, billing disputes, and refund evaluations are handled directly by Apple under standard App Store purchase terms.

Important Notice: If you cancel your subscription during the 30-day free trial period, you will retain full, uninterrupted access to all Plus features until the 30-day trial expires, with zero charges billed to your payment method.

5. AI Smart Scan & Fair Use Policy

Mehzem provides automated schedule extraction powered by modern artificial intelligence (multimodal vision models) to simplify lecture timetable and syllabus entry:

Fair Use Policy: AI schedule scanning is subject to reasonable fair-use limits to safeguard service stability, high availability, and rapid processing speeds for all students.
Verification Responsibility & Disclaimer: Data parsing accuracy depends on document resolution, lighting conditions, and layout structure. Students bear full responsibility for reviewing and confirming extracted course codes, times, days, and hall locations prior to confirming their timetable. Mehzem is not liable for scheduling oversights caused by unverified automated imports.

6. Intellectual Property & Copyrights

All trademarks, software source code, user interface designs (UI/UX), graphics, logos, icons, and written material within Mehzem and its official web properties are the exclusive intellectual property of the developer (Salem Al Omar), safeguarded under copyright laws, trademark regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and international copyright conventions.

7. Service Updates, Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to deploy updates, introduce new academic capabilities, and enhance compatibility with future iOS releases. Certain features may require updating the app to the latest release available on the App Store.

We also reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service periodically to reflect platform, academic, or regulatory evolutions. Continued use of Mehzem following posted modifications constitutes your consent to the updated terms.

8. Limitation of Legal Liability

The application is provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis without warranties of any kind. While every reasonable effort is made to maintain code stability and punctual notifications, neither the developer nor Mehzem assumes legal liability for missed lectures, assignments, exam sittings, or academic penalties resulting from device hardware faults, operating system battery-saving task termination, or disabled notification permissions.
